Australian Scanning Encyclopedia VicNewsSite History, Updates & Scanner NewsThis is where we announce the most recent additions and/or changes to the site. If you've visited us before and want to know what's changed, take a look here first. June 2004: Welcome to the rebuilt site. This site is built using Win 98 SE and Front Page 2000. We achieved hits between opening on Sept 11, 2003 and today. June 2004: The 58th Update of the site-the last built using MS Word 2000-is closed and deleted to make room for new site. Sorry that the site was down for a few hours. May 30, 2004: 57th Update uploaded announcing new site on it's way. aus_scanner Yahoo Group reaches 220 members from all over Australia and even people from the US, Canada and Britain have joined. May 29, 2004: Yahoo Group members told about new site. May 19, 2004: 56th Update with new easier menu uploaded. It is the first change to major change to site since opening. Early feedback suggests it is now much easier to navigate and find what you want. November 2003: Mike Smith joins the team and comes on board, helping with information and site production. Dallas & Tim (of vicscan.info) would also later join in helping with the site. Thanks guys. October 10, 2003: The aus_scanner Yahoo Group opens for users of this site to interact through. September 11, 2003: New site at www.scanaustralia.bigpondhosting.com opens. September 10, 2003: Old site on Geocities closed and all files except the home (index.html) page are uploaded to new site. November 9, 2002: I get the idea of putting all my Amiga 2000 based scanner information on the web and find a way using Geocities. This site would achieve hits before closing. I built most files using either the editor in Yahoo or just uploading basic word .html files by the later stages. December 2001: The Amiga computer is finally replaced by an IBM machine.
